When Forza Motorsport‘s initial lineup of tracks was announced, racing game fans were surprised not to find the Nürburgring-Nordschleife on it. An explanation followed soon after, stating that certain tracks would be rebuilt for the new title. The Hockenheimring, Yas Marina and Daytona have since been aded.

Long List of Fixes

Now, the toughest race track in the world features in Forza Motorsport as part of the February update. A long list of fixes was in the works prior to the patch notes for Update 5 being posted, and the full does address a number of issues. Most importantly for many players, developer Turn 10 Studios fixed numerous bugs that plagued several models of steering wheels across all platforms.

The announced change to the car upgrade system is not part of this update.

You can find the full changelog below – or check the graphic for the condensed version.

Forza Motorsport Nordschleife: Combined Layout Available

The Nordschleife is, of course, not just a standalone addition. The GP version of the Nürburgring had already been on board since launch, and a combined layout now awaits. Players can race on either the 20.83-kilometer Nordschleife on its own, or run the full layout that includes the modern circuit as well.

The Forza Motorsport Nordschleife update also adds a number of new events, Spotlight Cars and new Car Pass vehicles. The latter feature the 2020 Audi TT RS Coupé, two modern race cars in the 2015 Cadillac #3 Cadillac Racing ATS-V.R and the 2018 Ford #98 Breathless Pro Racing TA Mustang, and a throwback to the 1965 Formula One season in the Lotus Type 35.

Anyone got micro stutter with this update on GSynced monitors?
Super annoying, tried latest NVidia driver, disabling Low Latency (usually helps), still there. :(

EDIT: Corresponding thread on Steam.

Yes, installed the latest driver when started seeing the problem, that didn't fix it.
The word is that locking to 60fps and enabling VSync in NVCPL makes it smooth, haven't tried to confirm.

lol I bet you haven’t even tried it lately . Typical troll comment . Those gen2 gt3s are quite easy to lose especially on Nords . Throwing the simcade line at ams2 while claiming fm delivers the best Nords experience….wow.
With over 2650 hours in AMS2 I guess I know more about this game as anybody else and the physics are a joke nowadays.

lol I cant pass 30hrs in AMS2, I play iRacing, rF2, ACC, raceroom, but AMS2 not so much, the driving feeling feels simcade compared to my standards.
I have seen so much professional rigs, and if it's not private team with private game, it's iRacing the most used....rFactor 2 is well known to be the highest level too, but not so much used by the professionals ,the others games are sub level, only raceroom is sometimes used. I can say with confidence AMS2 is used at 0% by the professionals.

Let's listen to a racing-driver with over 120 races in all kinds of cars (GT3, GT4, Nascar etc):
"Spoiler: iRacing is the worst simulator of all. Especially the tyre-model has nothing to do with real life"...

Yep, setting performance target to 60fps makes it smooth again.

In the interest of fairness I gave it a go. Nope, still rubbish, still won't even work properly with my simucube set up. Takes the input settings in the menu, then forgets them in the race.

So you are the one person who thinks the physics have gotten worse? Wow.

As for the graphics in FM. I set everything up to max, running on 4090. Still looks dull and lifeless. Forza Horizon looks twice as good. No excuse for this shambles of a game.

Yes, AMS2 got worse a lot regarding physics because they made the tyre-surface temperatures obsolete. Now you can drift through every corner and takes quite some time till the tyre core-temps heat up a little, but they won't punish you anyway accordingly. Now you can 100% brake into corners without any lift-off oversteer. Try both in FM and you will spin the first time you try that and the graphics have improved. I have no problems with input-settings (SC2 Pro, HE Ultimate, etc.) and with this new update, finally the input-profile doesn't need to be reloaded anymore after every launch.

And I don't care what people are talking because the majority is always wrong anyway like with iRacing.

One aspect of FM that I rarely see people talk about, but for me was the main turnoff after foolishly deciding to pre-order the more expensive special edition, is that in my opinion it looks absolutely abhorrent on PC. Blurry textures, way too early LOD dropping, etc. I'm running a 4090 on triple 4k screens and have no problem getting beautiful crisp visuals in AC, AMS2, ACC--and FH5. But it seemed like no matter what combination of settings I tried, or tips that I found from around the web, nothing could make FM look better than a PS3-era driving game. Have any of the recent fixes changed any of this?

Nope. and I agree.

- SC2 here and no issues remembering inputs. They've fixed the problem when after game restart the control scheme defaults to Copyable blank template (something), now it remembers the last selected controls. Just make sure to name your control scheme and save after all inputs assignment.
- For blurriness in ACC, FM23, and EA WRC. They all use temporal AA, when older sims like AC, rF2, R3E, and Madness are MSAA based.
For me the solution for all three is to use DLAA with preset D (use 3.5.10 DLSS dll and DlssTweaks) with some added sharpness in NVidia CPL. And if you have spare GPU power, go straight for DLDSR, the best option around.

I use 4090 and 5120x1440 resolution, for ACC i will wait for the 5090 to increase the resolution scale, this end of the year we will have the new gpu, cause i like playing at 144fps, and dldsr is not compatible with DSC

That sounds like Samsung G9, same situation here, you can disable DSC by switching to 120Hz, still plenty for most cases and makes DSR option available in the driver.
DLAA allows you to run at native res even with DSC and delivers better than TAA quality esp. when combined with NVidia sharpness. You can play with different presets C, D, F, they deliver different level of sharpness and image stability. F is the most stable but the blurriest, C is the sharpest with some visible ghosting, D is a good compromise between two. I do not use any other sharpness in game except some in driver. Looks tack sharp and clear to my eyes.

Interesting looks like you cannot even turn of DSC with this one, bummer. How new RTX is going to fix that.

EDIT: No, looks like there should be an option to turn it off in OSD, did you try it?
