Does anyone know what the correct steering lock setting should be for the M4 GT3?
Directly from Kunos: https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/acc-shared-memory-documentation.59965/No idea, but it's not 540. I just tested it again. It's 516. Where did you get this info from? This can be precisely tested in game. 517 still leaves some leeway at the end of the range. 516 is the first value that is exactly lock-to-lock.
What can I say. First of all this is not directly from Kunos, but from Ensi Ferrum. He made the docs.Directly from Kunos: https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/acc-shared-memory-documentation.59965/
PDF in the first post.
Maybe only in cars with smaller locks or if you let go of the wheel and it keeps spinning. Without the hard lock you'd have to spin the wheel more than necessary to bring it back in sync.I gave up and just use soft lock, set to max of my steering wheel in game and USB Game controller panel. Now all cars seem to sync 100%.
My only doubt is when you're trying to correct a slide or when you lose control, does having a hardware lock work better?
That's an interesting point!Maybe only in cars with smaller locks or if you let go of the wheel and it keeps spinning. Without the hard lock you'd have to spin the wheel more than necessary to bring it back in sync.
Hi Sir,What can I say. First of all this is not directly from Kunos, but from Ensi Ferrum. He made the docs.
And the value is simply wrong. Like I said, it can be precisely checked in the game (if you know how). And it's 516. Maybe it was 540 and changed? Honda Evo had 620 at some point and recently changed to 436 (and the value in the linked doc is wrong as well).
On the other hand values in the doc for BMW M6 GT3 and M4 GT4 are consistent with mine (they are not typical as well). So I can just presume that he knows how to check the rotation (Ensi) but it might've changed.
@Ensi Ferrum ?
EDIT: Another difference I see between his doc and mine is KTM. He has 580, I have 582. But I'd have to double check that one.
540 on steering wheel base and 0 in ACC gameyou mean you want soft lock and ACC still lacks it?
if no set same on wheel and in ACC butif you lack softlock i cant help you cause there no info on it still. you just may turn on virtual wheel in game and guess it by looking at wheel in game when it stops moving. i think if you make 10 degree mistake setting it, it wont affect yo lap times
