LCD Speedo display

Does anyone understand why the game correctly shows LCD display in dashboards in some resolutions but not others? This is a most frustrating problem when I prefer not to have the hud active. I have found where the display is specified in the files, but no matter how long I stare at the information, I cannot determine what I need to change.

It seems to do with the Video mode in config ini. I could brute force the problem by trying all video modes if I just had some kind of list. There is also system ram and video ram, which I presume are related. It isn't very clear because it works on some cars, not others. Suggesting I Guess that some types of Motec are not loaded with certain video settings.

just my two cents, try window mode, if not a solution
try window mode + simhub (+plugin) and deactivate ingame HUD
