Great idea for a championship Brian. There is so much to choose from with RD races: LMP1, GT3, BTCC, MX5/Abarth, Agile, anything @dbx71 thinks up ;) and obviously classic F1 :). Shame I can't do them all but you could seriously race here full time.

I'll miss a few races due to holidays but I'll test the cars and see which I get on best with. Maybe a bonus Bathurst round would be a nice finale?

Sure is! I love single seaters so really feeling the pain of not making all of those!

The volvo race at bathurst was great! This championship has been on the long finger since then :) Might have to take another trip with all the cars this time!

If you want to get rid of the annoying (well to me anyway) transmission sound in the BMW then make a safe copy of your GUIDs.txt file, that can be found here....

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars\pm3dm_bmw_320i_stw\sfx

...and replace it with the attached file.

The new sound comes from the Volvo

I replaced it with the Kunos Escort RS 1600, proper music:p
.....Love that feature in CM to easily replace car sound too!

How did u do that?
In single race/hotlap etc, when you hover over the car 3 icons come up, click on the spanner 'manage car' and the car will appear in bigger view, at the foot of that screen is a link to replace the sound with another car.

When the list of cars pops up (to choose from) there's a category section at the top that includes something like 'kunos >8k revs' - I think it's to match the car you're driving.

I was happy with the rest of the sound. The file I attached only changes the transmission.

I've used the 'change sound' function before but couldn't find out how to restore the original sound - so steer clear of it.

For Kunos cars, the only way I've foudn to get original sound back is by "verifying files" on steam. Not a big deal, unless you've tweaked some things, tags etc. Will reset those too.

For modded cars, just reinstalling the car should return the original sound back.

I usually just stick to changing sounds on modded cars.
