Being available since 2018, Assetto Corsa Competizione has become one of the most renowned sims on the market. But with all the DLC packs that have been released, one may wonder what is worth getting. Our guide is here to help.

As of April 2024, the sum total of Assetto Corsa Competizione update packs available on Steam is nine. It may be quite daunting to see all of it and not knowing what to buy, and you cannot default to free mods either. Since unlike its older cousin Assetto Corsa, there are no mods for ACC.

So for those wondering what content is in which DLC pack, here is our guide to helping you figure out what is worth picking up for Assetto Corsa Competizione, the official game of the GT World Challenge and other SRO Motorsports Group series.

Intercontinental GT Pack

ACC-Intercontinental-GT-Pack.jpg
The first update pack released was in February 2020 (note: we are using the release dates for the packs on Steam, all DLC releases to consoles at a later date), and that is the Intercontinental GT Challenge Pack. Included in this pack are four tracks, some of which are the most beloved in motorsport.

Tracks

  • Kyalami
  • Mount Panorama (Bathurst)
  • Suzuka
  • Laguna Seca
Something you will find once picking up ACC is that tracks will always be more popular than classes of car that are not GT3. Suzuka and Mount Panorama are two beloved tracks on ACC so it may be worth picking up this pack for those two alone.

GT4 Pack

ACC-GT4-Pack.jpg
Released in July 2020, the GT4 cars offer their own challenge, but they are not quite that popular. The cars are much slower and more momentum based, but what may put one off purchasing this pack is the lack of any track.

Cars

  • Alpine A110 GT4
  • Aston Martin Vantage GT4
  • Audi R8 LMS GT4
  • Chevrolet Camaro GT4R
  • Ginetta G55 GT4
  • KTM X-Bow GT4
  • Maserati MC GT4
  • McLaren 570S GT4
  • Mercedes AMG GT4
  • Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport
Pick up this pack if you want to compete in GT4 races, no other reason. Although with the way the Balance of Performance is in this class, the only car worth driving competitively is the Alpine. It is over 1.5 seconds faster on most circuits as of the publishing of this article.

2020 GT World Challenge Pack

ACC-GT-World-Challenge-2020-Pack.jpg
November 2020 saw two cars and a track being added. With the real life GT World Challenge season compromised by the pandemic, the schedule was restructured. One of the two tracks was added into ACC as a result with this pack.

Track

  • Imola

Cars

  • Mercedes AMG GT3 EVO
  • Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO
As we will see in another pack, the Ferrari has been succeeded but the Mercedes is still in use. Imola is a beloved circuit and will be raced a lot, so if you believe it to be worth it, then go for it.

British GT Pack

ACC-British-GT-Pack.jpg
In this pack released February 2021, three new tracks are available. In the base game are Silverstone and Brands Hatch, but the rest from this pack come from the British GT championship that SRO organise.

Tracks

  • Donington Park
  • Oulton Park
  • Snetterton
The Donington circuit is known the world over as it hosts international competition. Oulton Park and Snetterton are only national level circuits, but are both base content in iRacing if you fancy giving them a try on there.

Challengers Pack

ACC-Challengers-Pack.jpg
Fast forward to the Challengers Pack releasing in March 2022, this features six cars, five of which do not belong in the GT3 or GT4 class. All of those cars race typically in spec series. The remaining car does race in the GT3 class.

Cars

  • Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II
  • BMW M2 CS Racing
  • Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992)
  • Ferrari 488 GT3 Challenge Evo
  • Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO 2
Do not be fooled by the GT3 monikers with the Ferrari and Porsche, as these cars do not compete in the GT3 class. Although via the GT2 Pack, we will establish that the Ferrari and Lamborghini do qualify to compete in another class.

American Track Pack

ACC-American-Track-Pack.jpg
If the lack of tracks in the Challengers Pack does not sway you, the American Track Pack released only three months later in June 2022 and might make up for it. Any guesses as to where all three tracks are? Yes, the USA. Plus they have all hosted the US Grand Prix over the years.

Tracks

  • Circuit of the Americas
  • Indianapolis Motor Speedway
  • Watkins Glen
COTA and Indy are not that popular on ACC, but Watkins Glen is another story. Whether it is worth the price, that is up to you.

2023 GT World Challenge Pack

ACC-GT-World-Challenge-2023.jpg
For April 2023, three cars were added in the 2023 GT World Challenge Pack. They are the up-to-date models from their respective brands. Additionally, a new track that was added in the lead-up to its usage in the FIA Motorsport Games GT Esports Cup later this year, with ACC making station in Valencia.

Track

  • Circuit Ricardo Tormo (Valencia)

Cars

  • Ferrari 296 GT3
  • Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo 2
  • Porsche 911 GT3 R (992)
The cars have proven very popular in online races, whereas the track with its short length and very tight corners is perhaps not a big favourite amongst ACC players.

GT2 Pack

ACC-GT2.jpg
The most recent update released in January 2024, introducing the brand new GT2 cars. This class also houses the pre-existing Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO 2 and Ferrari 488 GT3 Challenge Evo of the Challengers Pack. Along with the cars though is a popular Grand Prix track in the Red Bull Ring.

Track

  • Red Bull Ring

Cars

  • Maserati MC20 GT2
  • KTM X-Bow GT2
  • Mercedes AMG GT2
  • Audi R8 LMS GT2
  • Porsche 935
  • Porsche 911 GT2 RS CS EVO Kit
GT2 cars are faster than GT3 on the straights but are balanced by being heavier and less aerodynamically reliant in corners. On some tracks, they are relatively balanced. But even if someone never intends to race GT2, the Red Bull Ring is an immensely popular track in ACC.

24H Nürburgring Pack

N24 ACC.jpg
Confirmed in November 2023, the long-awaited 24H configuration of the circuit is now available on ACC. This including the Nordschleife and even the GP loop's cut track to start a new lap. When it comes to other pieces of content, there are no additional layouts nor any cars.

Track

  • 24H Nürburgring
Up until now, the Nordschleife could never be added to Assetto Corsa Competizione due to licencing restrictions, as the Nürburgring 24 hours was not part of any SRO series schedule. But with the race being added to the SRO-controlled Intercontinental GT Challenge schedule for 2024, it suddenly became possible.

ACC is the "Texas hold 'em" of simracing: either fold or go 'All In.'

That is, any simracer who connects with ACC ought to simply buy all of its available DLC.
True. I for one did that.

iRacing on the other hand, what is a good phrase that is the opposite of "Texas hold 'em"?

iRacing is better known as "The Money Pit" ... or, as the saying goes:

"How much does iRacing cost, sir?"
"Well, dear boy, if you have to ask...."

Jokes aside, even iRacing is worth the price for those simracers who derive the requisite amount of value from the service.

BTW, @Luca (OverTake) , looks like screenshots were taken in HDR mode as they look severely undersaturated.
Same happened with screenshots in other ACC articles.

For me the tracks are worth it if I enjoy them... Nords is an instant purchase as it is in any title...

But the cars... They feel like buying a mod pack for a league event that you know is going to be a one off event... I'll be lucky to get a couple of months use out of them... As I don't do offline in ACC at all and it's rare to see leagues do anything but GT3 in ACC...

Am I the only person - at least in games - who doesn't like Mount Panorama and the Nordschleife?

I usually like any and all tracks due to them all just being a series of corners and straights with their own challenges, style, etc. but something about that downhill middle section (after the 2 fast, sweeping lefts) at Mount Panorama rubs me the wrong way. The Nordschleife, on the other hand, just has way too many corners. I like tracks that have tons of corners if they're a point-to-point kind of track - sure - but for a "regular lapping" track, it doesn't interest me no matter how many times I race it.

Of course the tracks are amazing in real life though (especially the Nordschleife), don't get me wrong.

Far from it, at least from what I hear time and time again. Bathurst in particular seems to be a black box for many. Personally, I enjoy both a ton, but I can also see why you wouldn't. I think both are circuits where it has to just click at some point, but it won't for everybody.

Learning the Nordschleife, for instance, felt like a chore in the very beginning, but it grew a lot on me. Getting to the point where you can comfortably push for better laps is likely a key thing, same for Bathurst. To me, absolutely nailing the run up and down the hill - so basically the middle sector - is about as thrilling as it gets. But it's also easy to slap the wall big time if you make a slight mistake.

I have 32492.3km on Nords. in AC :D it is my favorite! Every car I want to test I test it there since if car passes that I am sure I will enjoy it on any other track. Especially of those downhills and up hills. It really is a track to test every aspect of the car since it have all of it. I however do understand you. Monza for example is fast and short for lapping BUT satisfaction is not there except nailing that turn one perfectly LOL Mount P. is just crazy especially that downhill curvy section LOL (how many crushes did I have...) Nords. is hard to love but if you let it show you what it is you will never want anything else! And those 24km are also hard on brain since staying focused is a challenge following thru all those turns and braking points (so many spins on the last turn when you think I am thru now full gas LOL). Do a challenge and take 5-10 of your best/fav cars and do a fastest lap in each of them on nords and tell me again if your opinion changed ;)

Just one remark, I don't think that the Ferrari 488 Challenge car had the GT3 moniker ever.
