As some of the regular racers amongst you may have noticed There haven't been any new events posted in the Race 07 club for a little over a week and the currently organised events are about to run out. After another great run from him over the past months unfortunately Yves cannot run races for a while due to his computer being broken, (be sure to send him your thanks 
) and the time has come to look for new blood to get involved in the running of the club.
It's a rewarding job which comes with lots of Kudos from you're fellow simmers when done right, as myself and many other past and present staff members can testify to. So if you would like to get more involved at RaceDepartment and help continue to build the Race 07 community through Race Events then we'd like to here from you!
In order to succeed there are a few basic requirements that the best Race Staff have possessed over the years and it would be great if you could bring some of them with you too:
1) Commitment.
2) Willingness To Learn.
3) Be active in the Forum.
By being committed and sticking around for a while you'll get to understand what your fellow racers enjoy and how to throw new challenges at them that will create a good racing and fun atmosphere. By doing so, you can improve everyone's racing skills and keep things fresh. One great thing about the Race Series is there's certainly no shortage of content out there. Don't worry too much about the odd bad combo or low turnout. It can happen to the best of us and we all learn something from it, which brings me onto the next point.
There'll be a little learning that we'll help you out with, as you'll need to remotely access race servers to prepare them for the events and get familiar with how the Race Staff team deal with incident reporting etc. Don't worry it's not that daunting and you'll find your feet pretty quickly.
And lastly, the forum activity will help judge what's going on in the community, what new content people are interested in and what sort of experience people are looking for when they race.
