F1 22 Oculus VR

Hi all
I thought I'd try F1 22 VR today. I have the Oculus Rift CV1 which isn't supported but the literature suggests it might work with compatibility issues. I've tried running it but although a game window does open it stays black and after a while it stops responding, then Steam and SteamVR shut down.
I was just wondering if anyone had managed to get it working and if so whether they might share their settings please
