DiRT Rally longish load times

since the first update, the first stage i play when i enter the game takes ages to load. i know there's massive amounts of data to be transferred, but it seems like loadtimes were better when the game first came out on oa. anyone else experiencing this?
p.s. also i've had my first game crash while it tried to load a first stage, just went on and on and on and after ten minutes i decided it meant the game had crashed.

Yeah being in Beta / Alpha it will do that from time to time I'm sure. I did have to restart a few times myself in between stages as they loaded up.
