Round Results & Standings

The Canadian GP had a dramatic end and it also turned into a thrilling FSR Fantasy League round! Carlos Martin will not only remember last weekend as the one of his maiden World Championship podium but also as the one of his first FSR Fantasy League round victory! The Spaniard took the round with his RaPex F1 Team, composed by Morgan Morand, Dian Kostadinov, Jim Parisis and Ville Leppala, scoring 113 points. Ironically, he could have achieved an even higher score by trusting in his own driving abilities! With the same score but with a slightly higher team cost, Great Britain's Fred Gosling took 2nd place, while Jan Wenninger, from Germany, was 3rd on 111 points. All three smashed the previous round score record, 110 points, which was set by Ondrej Kuncman on Round 14 of the 2012 edition of the FSR Fantasy League!

With his brilliant round, Fred Gosling has taken the lead of the standings with 187 points, just 2 points ahead of round-winner Carlos Martin, who has 185. Defending champion Franz Schnyder, from Switzerland, has climbed to 3rd place on 174 points, in what will be another tight battle for the Thrustmaster Y-250C Gaming Headset. First round winner Danny van der Niet was only 51st in this round and fell from the lead to 30th on the standings!

Carlos Martin joins Danny van der Niet as a contender for the other Thrustmaster Y-250C Gaming Headset that will be drawn among all round winners at the end of the season.

Driver Results

With a dominant performance, Morgan Morand has achieved his first grand-slam of the season, taking pole, fastest lap and win by leading every lap of the race, to achieve a perfect Fantasy score of 62 points, becoming by far the top scorer of the round. Despite Bono Huis' dominance in the last few seasons, Morgan Morand is still the only driver to have achieved a grand-slam score in the three editions of the FSR Fantasy League to date. His team-mate Carlos Martin put in an unforgettable performance, taking a maiden podium finish from 22nd on the grid to become the round's 2nd scorer, on 30 points. 2nd-place finisher Ivar Kalamees was just behind on 29 points.

After two rounds, Morgan Morand is comfortably the 2014 FSR Fantasy League's top scorer, with 96 points. He is followed by Martin Gosbee (50 points) and Ivar Kalamees (49 points).

Drivers' market costs were updated. Peter Helmbro (+700$), Carlos Martin (+500$), Dian Kostadinov (+500$) and Blair Disley (+500$) were the drivers who climbed the costs ladder the most. Remember that the drivers that you already have on your team will continue to cost you what they did when you included them on your lineup.
